Caption: David Roldán Cintas reviews a portion of the Catalan Sign Language Bible translation that has been written using SignWriting. SignWriting is a system of writing which uses visual characters and symbols to represent hand shapes, motions and facial expressions. This translation team using SignWriting to draft their translation. In Barcelona, Spain a team including hearing and Deaf is working together to translate the Bible into Catalan and Spanish Sign Language. Resources for the project have been provided by both Catholic and Evangelical churches. Their united goal is to see the word of God enrich the lives of the Spanish Deaf population.
