Caption: Deaf Indian men intently watch the bible dedication event in Kochi, India. There are about 900 deaf people crammed into an auditorium to celebrate the first sign language bible dedication event in India. 32 carefully selected foundational Bible stories from creation to the establishment of the church have been translated (on DVD) into Kerala Sign Language. (There are not as many women as men at this event, since deaf women are often severely overprotected by their family who fear they may be taken advantage of. Also, some of these men have travelled from all over India.)
